Introduction data is one of the core data of botanical gardens. From 2002 to 2021, Wuhan Botanical Garden mainly conducted Botanical expeditions and information collection in Hubei, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guangxi and other places, and obtained 7961 introduction data, including introduction registration number, individual introduction number, Latin family name, Chinese family name, Latin genus name, Chinese genus name, Latin name (excluding nominees), Chinese name, Latin name (including nominees), Latin name (tentative), Chinese name (tentative), introduction date, introduction personnel Initial planting site, introduction site administrative area, detailed information of introduction site, introduction quantity, introduction materials, material status, introduction source, sampling method, editor, creation date, and note information. Editors include Xu Wenbin, Pan Junfeng, Yuan Jun, Zhang Yongkuan, He Jun, Zhang Shoujun, Li Xinwei, Li Xiaodong, Lu Zhijun, and Xie Juan. This dataset includes introduction information for 5300 plant species (including subspecific units and varieties). This data is of great significance for understanding the types and sources of protected species in Wuhan Botanical Garden.
