List of plant species in China (2022 Edition) was officially released on the portal of the national plant specimen resource bank. The directory contains a total of 117330 name data, including 45793 accepted names and 71537 synonyms, belonging to 483 families, 4275 genera, 38287 species and 7506 species, as well as the original published literature corresponding to each name and the provincial distribution information corresponding to each accepted name. Compared with the data of 2021 edition, in 2022 edition, 1 species of moss is added, 1174 data are updated, 4 species of moss are added, 2156 data are updated, 3 species of Lycopodium are added, 166 data are updated, 41 species and subspecies units are added for pteridophytes, 2401 data are updated, 5 species and subspecies units are added for gymnosperms, 404 data are updated, 978 species and subspecies units are added for angiosperms, and 38279 data are updated. In addition, according to the new molecular systematics and taxonomic revision results, the genus and species names of vinaceae Vitaceae, Leguminosae Fabaceae, Cruciferae Brassicaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Asteraceae and other groups have been greatly adjusted; A total of 651 species and subspecial units were added, which were recorded in the previous botanical annals but omitted from the data in the previous edition of the catalogue.
To respect the intellectual property rights, protect the rights of data authors, expand services of the data center, and evaluate the application potential of data, data users should clearly indicate the source of the data and the author of the data in the research results generated by using the data (including published papers, articles, data products, and unpublished research reports, data products and other results). For re-posting (second or multiple releases) data, the author must also indicate the source of the original data.
